Members of Crewe and Nantwich U3A will celebrate their 21st birthday with a night of music, magic and memories.
The branch of the University of the Third Age will stage their special party at Crewe Alexandra FC.
The U3A has more than 1,500 members in the South Cheshire area.
They take part in an array of subjects and activities from art to photography and languages to gardening within its 110 different courses.
Crewe Alex FC is to host the celebrations in the Carlsberg Suite on Friday April 15, which local dignitaries will attend.
It will include a meal, a welcome drink sponsored by Morrisons Supermarket, and the cheese course sponsored by Joseph Heler.
Music is provided by acclaimed jazz and swing group, the Gatsby Gang.
Renowned magician Peter Turner, and the services of Philip Eardley as the Master of Ceremonies, will complete the line-up.
There will be raffle prizes donated by many local businesses
Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Alzheimer’s Society, Crewe and Nantwich U3A’s nominated charity for 2016.
A full list of contributors to the raffle can be found on the group’s website.
“The night is part of a series of events to mark the 21st anniversary of our local existence,” said Crewe and Nantwich chairman, Dave Jinkinson.
“This birthday party promises to be the highlight and we’re all looking forward to it.”
Tickets are selling well and U3A members and friends can buy them for £25 each before April 7 by booking with Janice Whitmore, the Social Secretary, on 01270 662240.
