Finance firm BCR have given a cash boost to hospice care after staging a charity quiz in Nantwich.
The corporate recovery specialist, which helps troubled businesses get back on their feet, presented £400 to St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.
Bankers, lawyers and accountants flocked to take part in the quiz night at Residence on Mill Street.
They were tested on their knowledge of all things British including questions on sport, geography, TV, music and current affairs.
Brainbox bankers from NatWest enjoyed further success, carrying off the winner’s cup for the third time.
Other local companies attending included Weaver Accountants, Howard Worth, Barclays, Handelsbanken, Beswicks Legal, Bowcock & Pursail, Grindeys, Myers and Luis Taylor.
A total of £800 was raised which has been split between St Luke’s and Douglas Macmillan Hospice at Trentham.
Managing director Phil Wood said: “This was our fifth annual event and once again we were delighted to see so many businesses support the evening.
“There was good-humoured rivalry and some great banter between professionals from quite different backgrounds but they were united in an effort to support the hospices.”
