Santa Dash Nantwich - race start

Nantwich Santa Dash will be held on December 11 to help raise funds for Hope House.

Scores of Santas young and old will dress in red coats and beards and charge through Nantwich town centre.

The route starts and finishes on the town square, with a warm up provided by Fitness Instructor from Total Fitness in Crewe.

Nantwich’s Rio Paralympian Andrew Small will be at the start line ready to begin the event, sponsored by 1st Choice for Homes, at 11am for all participants.

“I am extremely proud to able at to help open this year’s Santa Dash in aid of Hope House!” he added.

Andrew won bronze at the 2016 Paralympics as well as achieving his personal best in the Men’s 100m – T33 wheelchair race at the Rio Olympics.

Angela Carrigan, Hope House fundraiser, said: “We are really looking forward this year’s Santa Dash as it is always so well supported.

“Our thanks go to Chatwins Bakery, who have kindly donated the mince pies for the day as well as chocolate donated by Sugros, which will be at the finish line for the participants to enjoy.

“Our thanks also go to Recycling UK Group for sponsoring the event barriers, the Bentley Cheshire Rotary Club and Cheshire Army Cadets for assisting with volunteers for the day as well as Redshift Radio who will be offering their continued support.”

Participants in the Santa Dash can choose from a 2.5km or 5km run, both suitable for all ages and anyone wishing to walk or run.

All money raised will go to Hope House, which helps families with sick children in Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.

Registration is £5 for adults and children go free.
