Staff at the RSPCA centre in Nantwich are appealing for bird-lovers to get in touch after becoming inundated with budgies.
The Stapeley Grange centre on London Road currently has 21 budgies at the centre.
Eighteen of the birds came from the same household after their owner passed away.
Lee Stewart, manager at Stapeley Grange, said they were keen to find new homes for them
as soon as possible.
He said: “It is unusual for us to have as many budgies as we do at the moment and we’d love to see all 21 of them re-homed for the new year.
“All are in good condition and are feeding well.
“They would be an excellent addition to a bird-lover’s household.
“The only condition is that initially they would need to be re-homed indoors.”
A home visit would need to be carried out before they are re-homed.

Hi, do you have any female budgies for sale?
Hi ,i would like to give a home to a few budgies if you still have some available,i kept Budgies years ago but had to sell up as i didn’t have the time spare to look after them.
Now years later i find myself with plenty of time on my hands and three sons whop are also keen to help so i want to build up the amount of birds .
At present i have a very large cage with only two birds in it ,it looks ever so empty.
The birds would be very well looked after,so please could you consider me.
Kind regards
Robert Wilkinson
