This little star from Nantwich took a regional gymnastics competition by storm!
Six-year-old Bella McKinney leapt and bounced her way to silver medal overall in her age group at the Hannah Wheelan Invitational in Warrington.
The St Anne’s School pupil competed in the floor and vault, representing the Cheshire Gymnastics team.
And she belied her age by coming third in the floor category, and second on the vault, to scoop second place overall.
“What an achievement at six-years-old,” said team spokeswoman Hannah Ray.
Bella’s coach Dariusz Bielecki (pictured, right) trains the team’s development squad three times a week at the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury and their hard work has paid off.
“Bella trains at Moss Farm and the Wingate, all part of Cheshire gymnastics,” added Hannah. “She’s a little star!”
The youngster competed in the Beijing 2008 level 2 age 6 category.
Delighted mum Jane, of Regents Park in Nantwich, said: “We’re so proud of her!
“She started at Cheshire gymnastics when she was in reception, and this was her first big competition.”
