Cheshire East Council’s deputy leader is being stalked and some councillors don’t feel safe in their own homes because of abuse and harassment from the public.
The problem has increased to such an extent, the council set up a task and finish group to look into the issue.

Cash-strapped Cheshire East Council has splashed out more than £22,000 on dishwashers for staff at its Crewe headquarters.
