It was a frenetic start as both sides had opportunities to score the first and crucial goal at the Optimum Pay Stadium.
Nantwich Town Ladies played their last pre-season game in preparation for the new season with a friendly game victory over Runcorn Sports Women FC.
Due to a waterlogged pitch at Runcorn’s ground, the game was switched to the Applewood Independent 3G Arena astroturf pitch at Nantwich Town Football Club.

Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC are introducing weekly pan disability football training sessions for under 16s from Sunday August 29.
The sessions from 4pm will take place on the Applewood Independent 3G Arena astro-turf pitches.

Nantwich Town fell to their first defeat of the season with a 2-0 loss to Whitby Town in North Yorkshire.
The game was defined by big moments and most of these went the way of the hosts.
Nantwich Town have received more backing from local businesses, with Applewood Independent sponsoring the club’s 3G Arena.
It will now become known as the “Applewood Arena” where first team players train and community and children’s football sessions are held.

More than 400 fans welcomed the return of league football at the Optimum Pay Stadium.

Nantwich Town notched a fine 3-2 victory over higher league opponents Chester in front of a good crowd at the Optimum Pay Stadium.
Fans turned up to see new star signing in Shaun Miller as well as the addition of Cameron Terry as goalkeeper, and were treated to action at both ends.
