Everybody Leisure launches junior exercise scheme in South Cheshire

Everybody Health and Leisure has launched a new 12-week Junior Exercise Referral Scheme based at Crewe Lifestyle Centre.

The scheme is a programme funded by a NHS Cheshire and Merseyside and Cheshire East Council health and wellbeing grant.

The club, who train the Lifestyle Centre in Crewe, visited Sale Leisure Centre for the event against Aquadis SC (Ellesmere Port) and Sailfin SC (Sale).

A South Cheshire karate club is sending three competitors to the World Championships after receiving backing from local firm Mornflake.

The Zenshin Ryu Club, which holds classes at Wyche House Bank in Nantwich and Yoxall Village Hall in Haslington, has received support from the cereal makers towards its debut at The WUKF World Championships in Dundee.

Plans unveiled for new South Cheshire Amateur Boxing Club base

Plans have been submitted for a new indoor boxing club and gym on the site of the former Crewe Youth Centre which burned down in 2014.

The proposal is to create a new home for South Cheshire Amateur Boxing Club (SCABC), a registered charity which has worked with young people in Crewe for more than 11 years.

June Deeley, 70, is a coach and welfare officer for Crewe and Nantwich Gymnastics Club and has been shortlisted in the Volunteer of the Year category ahead of the British Gymnastics Awards.
