A new Cubs and Beavers group has been launched in Nantwich to cope with soaring demand for the popular movement. The 7th SWC Nantwich Millfields Beavers and Cubs colony has just opened its doors to more than 25 children.
Nantwich folk are being urged to dust off their dancing shoes and join a new fitness regime being launched in the town. The Olive Grove Conference Centre in Regents Park will host the new “Fitsteps” on April 29.
Nantwich Litter Group will be holding “Group Picks” over the next three weeks. The first takes place this Saturday April 12 at 10am, and will be followed by another on Wednesday April 30.

Nantwich men are invited to undergo a special prostate testing event being staged by Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group. The testing session will take place at Nantwich Civic Hall this Saturday April 5 between 10am and 1pm.

Wistaston & District Flower Club member Brian Spencer has received the ‘Barbara Jolly Trophy’ at the club’s first meeting of 2014. Brian earned the prize from demonstrator Eleanor Griffiths for his floral arrangement entitled ‘Play with Flowers’.
A family support group in Nantwich is raising thousands of pounds to take children and their parents or carers on a residential. Chatterbox, based at Malbank School, is already halfway to its target to fund the special weekend to Menai in the summer.
Bosses at Nantwich-based The Cat Community Radio Station spoke of their joy today at securing a five-year FM licence from Ofcom. It means the station, based out of Frederick House in Nantwich, will now be able to broadcast on air rather than internet-only.
