A group of friends and relatives (pictured) took part in a walk around Nantwich to raise money for charity. The group, all from the Wistaston and Willaston areas, completed the Nantwich Riverside Loop walk to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A school chef from Nantwich wowed the judges with her tasty meal on a budget to make it through to the regional final of School Chef of the Year. Sam Costa, who heads the kitchen at Pear Tree Primary in Stapeley, produced a tasty dish of rainbow rice and creamy coconut chicken.

A remembrance service will be taking place in South Cheshire in November to celebrate the lives of children and babies. More than 100 people watched the Wistaston Singers choir perform a concert at St Mary’s Church in the village. Phil Houghton was musical director and also introduced each song and soloist during the event watched by 120 people on Saturday night (October 15).
