Missed bin collections in Cheshire East almost trebled last year.
A Freedom of Information request to the council showed 21,340 collections were missed in 2019-20, compared to 7,182 the year before.
Bin collection days in Crewe and Nantwich are set to change from November, Cheshire East Council has announced.
They say stickers will be fixed to bins during collections over the next few weeks to give notice of changes from November 4.
Staff at a Starbucks store in South Cheshire were shocked to find a kitten dumped in a bin outside their coffee shop.
The seven-week-old black kitten was found by an employee as he went to put a bag of rubbish in an industrial bin at the back of the store in Holmes Chapel Road, Middlewich.
Two commercial bins were set on fire at a Nantwich business park.
The fires were started at lunchtime today outside commercial premises on Beam Heath Way, off Middlewich Road. (July 15).
Fire crews believe vandals set a bin ablaze in a busy area of Nantwich town centre. The blaze happened on Swine Market, with one crew from nearby Beam Street station tackling the incident.
