As a lifelong Wistaston resident, I am writing with utter disgust and deep concern at the news that Redrow Homes are preparing to build around 190 houses on 12.6 acres of our open fields and grassland off Crewe Road.

A developer is seeking the views of Wistaston residents on its plans to build about 190 homes on land off Crewe Road.
Redrow Homes wants to build the dwellings on a 12.6-hectare site comprising open fields and grassland, which borders land and allotments owned by Willaston Parish Council.

This area currently consists of open fields and grassland, forming part of the strategic green gap between Crewe and Nantwich.
Drivers are being warned of delays as a number of roadworks and repair schemes are set to take place this month across Nantwich and Crewe.
