Cheshire Police is looking at providing educational programmes focussing on the dangers and harm of knife crime.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s plan includes a proposal to “commission educational programmes where appropriate to tackle the scourge of knife crime and other serious violence”.
Residents across South Cheshire are set to pay on average £14 more for policing after a planned increase in the force’s council tax precept was approved.
Dan Price, Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s (PCC), proposed the precept which was given the go ahead by the Cheshire Police and Crime Panel.

The Cheshire Police and Crime Panel chairman has quit because he claims the new Commissioner has refused to directly answer questions submitted by members.
The job of the panel is to hold the Commissioner to account which it does through questions and scrutiny.
Dan Price has today taken office and started his four-year term as Cheshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).
Mr Price won a three-horse race to be elected as the new PCC last week, bagging an annual salary of around £78,000.
Labour candidate Dan Price has won the election to become Cheshire’s next Police and Crime Commissioner.
Mr Price, a former Warrington councillor, won 48.1% of the votes, polling 86,279.
