It’s full steam ahead for the Peacock Railway in Willaston as it plans to add a new steam engine.

Fire crews had to battle a blaze on a diesel train at Calveley, between Nantwich and Chester.

The blaze broke out on board the engine compartment of the train close to Station Road at around 4am yesterday (October 21).
