A police officer from Nantwich has cycled from his home town to London in aid of charity – despite suffering long Covid!
Chris Buckley, an officer with the Regional Commercial Vehicle Unit at Cheshire Constabulary, pedalled to the capital to raise vital funds for Nantwich Foodbank.
Twelve members of Nantwich Cycling Group are to tackle a gruelling 220-mile ride to London in one day in aid of Nantwich Foodbank.
They want to raise more than £2,000 for the Foodbank’s “Fresh Food Project”.

Residents can drop off donations at Brine Leas car park on Saturday March 27 between 10am-1pm.

A Nantwich bar has been raising money for charity by issuing branded facemasks and dog bandanas.
Ebenezer’s Craft Beer & Gin, on Castle Street, sold branded facemasks and dog bandanas to raise money for Nantwich Foodbank.
Generous students and staff from Reaseheath College in Nantwich have donated a record collection of food and Christmas treats to help people in need in their local community.
All departments were involved in amassing more than 50 boxes and bags of in-date, non perishable food and household items which have now been delivered to Nantwich Foodbank.
