Crewe Lyceum was full of words and rhyme on Thursday night thanks to poet and lyricist, Benjamin Zephaniah.
During the show, Benjamin performed some of his poems and talked openly about his life and told stories from his new biography The Life and Rhymes of Benjamin Zephaniah.

Crewe Lyceum was full last night (September 17) for the opening of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
There is something quite special about this show.
Crewe Lyceum has plenty of entertainment lined up to warm up audiences as dark Autumn evenings draw in.
This season the theatre is showcasing the best of the West End along family favourites, headline comedians, top quality music and fringe performances from across the region.
The fundraising “Rock for Heroes” concert is heading to the Crewe Lyceum on October 26.
‘Rock for Heroes’ fundraises in support of Help for Heroes and so far has raised more than £18,000 on its current UK tour.
Actor and comedian Tony Slattery is back on tour following an appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last month.
And he brings his “Unrehearsable” show to Crewe Lyceum Theatre on Friday (September 13) at 7.30pm.
