Nantwich firm Total Tools has stepped forward to help out Nantwich Town after burglars swiped thousands of pounds worth of equipment in a burglary.

And the gesture comes as the club launches its “Secure Your Club” campaign to raise funds to improve security around the ground.

Nantwich Town have confirmed the signings of attacking midfielder James Lawrie and striker Danny Glover ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Lawrie and Glover spent last season at Hednesford Town and are the first two signings for Dave Cooke as he looks to bolster the first-team squad after his first season in charge.

Burglars have broken in to Nantwich Town’s Weaver Stadium and stolen equipment worth thousands of pounds.

The break-in happened in the groundsman’s store overnight, the club said.

Players, staff and supporters were all honoured at Nantwich Town awards evening at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Defender Joel Stair was awarded the Nantwich Town Player of the Year, and Jamie Morgan and Troy Bourne also picked up awards.

Nantwich Town slump to 3-0 defeat at home to Stafford Rangers

Nantwich Town’s season ended in defeat as they went down 3-0 to Stafford Rangers thanks to two penalties from Robert Thompson-Brown at the Weaver Stadium.

The Rangers midfielder netted a spot kick in either half with Tyrell Waite also scoring during the second period making it a day to forget for the Dabbers.

Nantwich Town beaten by Shaw Lane after losing two-goal lead

Nantwich Town were on the wrong end of a strong second half comeback from Shaw Lane who won 3-2 at the Weaver Stadium despite trailing 2-0.

The Dabbers had gone into the break with a two-goal lead thanks to a fine individual effort from Jordan Cole and a Matt Bell goal just before half time.
