The British Hen Welfare Trust’s (BHWT) Cheshire team is on a roll – with a third re-homing event set to take place in Nantwich.
It follows on from two very successful events in January and February where the team helped more than 700 hens find pet homes.
A second hen re-homing event is to take place in Nantwich after one held last month was hailed a huge success.
In January, 437 hens were saved from slaughter and adopted as pets from the British Hen Welfare Trust Nantwich collection point.
A national hen charity is appealing to the Cheshire public to help find homes for 250 hens.
The British Hen Welfare Trust is holding a re-homing event tomorrow (Saturday January 19) in Nantwich where 250 ex-caged hens will be waiting to start their free range retirement.
