Cheshire East’s plans to change the booking system at tips because of traffic problems the council itself created will make waste disposal more difficult and reduce recycling, councillors were told.

Nantwich residents are facing a £10 rise in Cheshire East Council’s waste recycling scheme in 2026.
The cash-strapped authority is putting up the annual subscription for the scheme from £59 in 2025 to £69 next year.

Councillors on the environment and communities committee will be asked to give officers the go-ahead to draft a public consultation to go out next year.
