I would like to raise a concern that I am sure many local road users will have noticed.
A utility company recently carried out works in our area, digging up several sections of road to repair underground pipes.
Highways bosses at Cheshire East Council have declined an interview to explain the current situation with the borough’s crumbling road network.
But in a statement, they claim the extra £21 million allocated to CEC by the Government would be no where enough to fix the borough’s potholes.

Workmen arrived at the affected section of A530 Middlewich Road yesterday (Monday) to fill in potholes.
However, upon driving past the same section today, it’s clear that the repairs were poorly executed.
