A programme of roadworks causing major delays at one of Nantwich’s busiest junctions looks set to be extended by another FOUR weeks.
Works have been taking place at the junction of Newcastle Road and Elwood Way since January 20.

A major project to dual the A500 single carriageway between Crewe will start in 2020 after it was given planning approval.
The £55 million project has been unanimously approved by Cheshire East Council’s strategic planning board at a meeting yesterday (December 19).
Nantwich and Crewe drivers are being warned that work on the A500 and junction 16 of the M6 will start on Monday 23 June. Two schemes costing a total of £8 million will be delivered by the Highways Agency, one on behalf of Cheshire East Council.
Nantwich drivers are being warned about major works about to start on the A500 on the approach to the M6. Work is starting on multi-million pound road improvements scheme designed to improve traffic between Crewe and Nantwich and the motorway.
Two major road schemes to improve the A500 from Nantwich to M6, and access to Crewe town centre, have been approved by the Government. More than £6.5 million will be spent widening the A500 single lane approach to junction 16, and on a new Basford West Spine road.
