Wych-Malbank Rotary donates £10,000 in eight months

Nantwich-based Wych-Malbank Rotary Club has donated a total of £10,000 in last eight months.

Recent donations have been awarded to St Luke’s Hospice Winsford and Myeloma UK, and a further £3,000 has gone to local charities and groups.

Wych-Malbank Rotary members in Nantwich have toasted the success of a recycling initiative called “Handmade in Nantwich” which raised almost £1,700.

They invited members, friends, and Facebook followers to get busy and make items from household cupboards and garden sheds that they would donate for sale online or at the market.

The Rotary Club of Wych-Malbank Nantwich has donated funds raised to seven local causes totalling thousands of pounds.

The club, set up a year ago, formed its own charities “Dream Team” to decide would benefit from any monies raised by the club.

Wych Malbank Lodge raises £800 at Wybunbury event for Bloodwise

The Lodge of Wych Malbank helped raise £1,600 at a hog roast fund-raising event at Corner Farm in Wybunbury.

The money has been given to Bloodwise, formerly known as Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
