The Crown Hotel in Nantwich is laying on three nights of entertainment to help punters banish the winter blues.
Former Crewe Alex and Middlesborough football star Craig Hignett will be in town on Thursday January 26.
The ex Premier League forward will be the guest speaker at a one-off Sportsman’s Dinner at the hotel in High Street.
Hignett has become an after dinner favourite on the circuit, mixing anecdotes about his 20-year career as a player with his Scouse wit.
Since 2008, Hignett has been involved in the coaching set up back at Middlesborough.
Liverpool comedian John Martin will also be appearing at the same event.
On Monday January 30, the Crown is hosting a dinner and movie night, with Stand By Me being screened in the Minstral’s Ballroom.
Included in the £10 ticket is any pasta or pizza dish from the venue’s Casa Brasserie restaurant.
And on Saturday February 4, a “Tragedy at the Manor” murder mystery night is taking place at the Crown.
The interactive plot will feature professional actors and prizes for the best/worth sleuths.
There will be a four-course meal, disco and late bar included in the ticket prices.
