Residents with their friends and family were entertained at Richmond Village Nantwich by a traditional pantomine, writes Claire Faulkner.
Directed by Fred Allman, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was performed by staff and volunteers who gave up their free time to produce, direct and star in a brilliantly written and well presented show.
Songs, dances and jokes filled with local references kept the audience and cast entertained.
The cast worked well together, and tribute must be given to the leads, Gracie Vickers who played Dorothy.
Beverley Morris as the scarecrow, Charlotte Platt as the Tin Man and Rosalind Ratcliffe as the Lion.
Well done to everyone envolved it was a very funny show, I’d definitely be going back to see next year’s performance.
First performed in 2005, pantomines have now become an annual event at Richmond Village.
This year there are four performances in total and Nicola Tooke, who played the Wicked Fairy encourages anyone to come along and have fun.
The next performances are today (Saturday January 7) at 3.30pm and 7.00pm at Richmond Village.
Watched this also yesterday, and was absolutely hilarious, congrats to all that assisted in the production and the acting.
Recommend people go watch this tonight …. 10/10
