A fire crew from Nantwich was called out to a chip pan blaze at a house in Stapeley.
Crews were called to a property on Broad Lane where the fire had already been extinguished.
Officers searched for hotspots of fire using a thermal imaging camera and they carried out a full inspection of the property.
No one was hurt in the incident which happened at about 5.45pm on Friday February 10.
