The Very Best In Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall next month with a bill of top British comedians.
Comedy promoters have worked hard to line up some of the best live acts in the UK, starting with the Friday September 7 show.
The first act of the evening is Paul Sinha.
A trained medical doctor who is perhaps best known as the “Sinnerman” on the hugely popular ITV quiz show The Chase, Paul has been a successful comedian for a number of years.
As a club comedian, he has played every major comedy club in the UK, performed in 18 other countries across the globe, and been three times nominated for Best Club Comedian at the Chortle Awards, winning in 2014.
Paul has taken eight solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, his 2006 show Saint or Sinha being nominated for whatever the Perrier award was called back then.
His 2016 show Shout out to my Ex had a sell-out run and toured nationally.
Next act sees the return of Tom Wrigglesworth, who is an established stand-Up comedian, radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist.
This Yorkshire funnyman became a national have-a-go-hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of a Virgin train ticket inspector – only to be arrested for begging.
His subsequent story secured Tom several awards including the Chortle Best Show Award, a nomination for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award, a sell out tour of the UK, and runs at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and Montreal Comedy Festival.
Last up is celebrated improv troupe The Noise Next Door – 10-time sell-out veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and one of the country’s most sought after comedy club headliners.
The Noise Next Door leave audiences everywhere in awe of their lightning-quick wit and totally original comedic talents.
They have been performing their own distinctive brand of off-the-cuff comedy together since they met at university.
Taking audience suggestions, they transform them into fantastically funny scenes and songs in the blink of an eye with a perfect blend of ludicrous characters, witty one-liners, epic stories, and explosive physicality.
They have appeared on BBC One, BBC Three, ITV1, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4, and have performed alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Al Murray, and Harry Hill.
Compere on the night is the enigmatic Angelos Epithemiou.
Well known to fans of hit BBC show ‘Shooting Stars’, Angelos brings his unique brand of comedy to Nantwich for the first time.
The September 7 show tickets are on sale at £10, from the Civic Hall direct or from the SeeTickets link on www.civiccomedy.co.uk
Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
