Nantwich Town players were put through their paces as they kick off their pre-season campaign this weekend against neighbours Crewe Alexandra
The Dabbers will welcome Crewe for the friendly at the Weaver Stadium and will be playing for the Barry Daly Memorial Trophy.
Taxi driver Barry, known as Big Baz, was a long-term member of Crewe’s support staff and was also well-known at Nantwich Town.
The 63-year-old died last month and footballers were among hundreds of people at his funeral.
Nantwich players returned for pre-season training this week with first team coach Jay Bateman, coach/coach mentor Nigel Deeley and goalkeeping coach Kieran Clarke.
And they were put through their paces on the Malbank School and Sixth Form College sports field, under the watchful eye of manager Dave Cooke.
The Dabbers game against Crewe Alexandra is this Saturday July 3, a 3pm kick off at the Weaver Stadium.
