Nantwich Town have re-signed former Stoke City legend Ricardo Fuller, writes Liam Price.
The striker returns to the Dabbers after initially playing for the second half of last season.
Fuller was a fans’ favourite at the Britannia Stadium where he played under Tony Pulis in the Premier League for six years.
Nantwich manager Dave Cooke said: “Ric’s been training for a month now and is looking sharp, it’s great to have him back.
“He’s great around the players and with his experience it’s a great fit.”
Fuller has gone straight into the squad for today’s (November 16) league match against Grantham Town.
A former Jamaican international, Fuller made his name in England at Preston North End between 2002 and 2004.
And when he signed for Stoke City in 2006, he quickly reached hero status.
He helped fire Pulis’ side into the Premier League for the first time and helping to keep them there before leaving in 2012.
Fuller will be in action at the Weaver Stadium in the BetVictor Northern Premier League match against Grantham Town.
Tickets are £11/£8/£3 and kick-off is at 3pm.
