Nantwich Film Club returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on Monday February 9, with Monsieur Lazhar.
The Canadian French language drama, directed by Philippe Falardeau, tells the story of a recent emigrant of Algeria who takes over a Canadian classroom after a teacher’s tragic death.
The film, which is 94 minutes and Cert 12A, is told in French/Arabic with English subtitles. Doors open 7pm, tickets £5.
It’s one of a number of events taking place at Nantwich Civic over the coming weeks.
South Cheshire ABC Boxing presents a night of amateur boxing on Friday February 13.
The event will see local boxers taking on fighters from Northwich at different weight classes over several bouts of amateur boxing. Tickets £10 available on the door, 7pm.
Meanwhile, you can celebrate Valentine’s with a night of Ceroc!
Whether you have a partner or not, Ceroc Addiction’s Valentines Ball on Saturday February 14 is a night of Freestyle dance for everyone.
A fusion of Salsa, Latin, Ballroom, Tango and Jive, Ceroc promises a great night out. 8pm-1am, tickets £10 on the door.
The monthly V&A Antiques and Collectors Fairs returns to the Civic Hall on Thursday February 19.
Browse through a wide range of antiques and collectables, including china, glass, furniture, cigarette cards, vintage fishing tackle, jewellery, militaria, vintage textiles, books, pictures & prints, and lots more. It’s open 10am to 4pm, £2.
