Nantwich Bookshop is to host its first indoor author event since nationwide lockdown restrictions eased.
Local poet and author Beverley Joughin-Robson will talk about her first collection of poems – ‘Life’s Journey Through Poetry’ – published in 2019.
A retired English teacher, born in Essex in 1960, Beverley has been writing stories and poetry since childhood.
The event takes place this Friday (August 20) at the venue on High Street in Nantwich.
Doors open 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Tickets are £7.50 which includes finger nibbles and £2.50 off the price of ‘Life’s Journey Through Poetry’ purchased on the night.
There will also be a cash bar available with a wide selection of drinks.
It is a ticket only event with limited seating.
A second author event at Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge takes place on Tuesday September 28 when broadcaster and author Yvette Fielding launches her book ‘The House in the Woods’.
Suitable for age 11 upwards, tickets are £10 per person, which includes finger nibbles and a signed copy of the book. Cash Bar available. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start.
Yvette Fielding was the youngest ever Blue Peter presenter at age 18, and she’s since gone on to host and produce Ghosthunting With… and Most Haunted.
After years of studying ghosts, she’s become television’s ‘first lady’ of the paranormal.
Denise Lawson, Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge, said: “It’s with great pleasure that we are doing author events again.
“We will be keeping up with the socially distancing, and sanitising at all of our events for the foreseeable future.
“We cannot wait to welcome both Beverley Joughin-Robson and Yvette Fielding to two of our first events in ages.”
