READER’S LETTER: Animal sentience should enshrined in UK law

Dear Editor,
As a nation of animal lovers we are calling on your readers to speak up for animals to make sure that animal sentience becomes enshrined in UK law.

Animal sentience was the only issue which was not carried over after Brexit and so the RSPCA has been campaigning to ensure the needs of sentient animals are taken into account by Governments when making policy decisions.

Taxi drivers are in short supply across Crewe and Nantwich after nearly 150 quit when their trade was badly affected by the pandemic.

Kim Evans, licensing team leader at Cheshire East Council, said this was a regional and national issue and London was down by about 4,000 drivers.
