There have been 39 positive Covid cases in schools across Cheshire East, latest figures show.
And it has resulted in as many as 2,960 pupils and 123 staff having to self-isolate, says Cheshire East Council.
Brine Leas Sixth Form in Nantwich has been closed for the second time in a week after another positive Covid case.
The school said they have been informed of a positive Covid-19 case in one of its Year 13 students.
Cheshire East Council has opened school applications for primary and secondary places in September 2021.
Parents are being urged to complete their applications before the deadlines of October 31 for secondary and January 15 for primary.
Brine Leas Sixth Form in Nantwich has closed today due to a positive case of COVID-19.
It’s believed one of the Year 12 or 13 students has tested positive.
Willaston Primary School has sent two year groups home after one of its pupils tested positive for Covid-19.
It’s believed years 3 and 4 have been sent home and those pupils will have to self isolate for two weeks, to return on October 14.
Cheshire College – South & West is the only college in Cheshire to offer the new T Level qualifications.
T Levels aim to fast track learners’ careers in a range of vocational areas and will be offered from September 2021.
