Nantwich faces flood and traffic problems with more housing, council told

Nantwich town could face major flooding problems like those in the south if more developments take place near the River Weaver. That was the warning from Nantwich Mayor Cllr John Lewis after outline planning permission for the 1,100-homes Kingsley Fields plan was  approved.

Cheshire East Council to move Muller Homes Nantwich inquiry to Crewe

Cheshire East Council chiefs have bowed to pressure and switched a public inquiry into the Muller Homes Stapeley plan from Macclesfield to Crewe. The four-day inquiry, originally scheduled for Macclesfield town hall on February 18, will now take place in Crewe Municipal Buildings.
