Delighted youngsters at Wistaston Church Lane Academy have been enjoying the school’s new Early Years Reception outdoor learning area.

The new outdoor area now has a climbing frame, a race track for scooters and bikes, a mud kitchen, a sand box and a special outdoor classroom.

Wistaston Scout Group (35th South West Cheshire) produced a fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives in war and conflict.

The group put together an impressive vertical display of poppies, made of plastic bottle ends painted red to resemble poppies, with the Union Flag flying on top.

Wistaston pupils bury time capsule on new Wistaston Brook development

School children from Wistaston left their mark on history as they buried a time capsule at the village’s new housing development for future generations to discover.

Pupils aged 5 to 11 from Wistaston Church Lane Academy put a variety of objects in the capsule, from popular toys like Lego, a squishy and slime to a school uniform, coins, letters to their future selves.
