The 25th Community Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race made its return to Joey the Swan recreation ground in Wistaston.
The event was opened by Wistaston Rose Queen Emily Edge. The 11-year-old was crowned by Revd Mike Turnbull at St Mary’s Church, Wistaston in June.
A concert in memory of John White took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
The concert, organised by Diane Edge-Robinson (Chair of Wistaston Memorial Hall), featured Crewe Concert Band.

Ann, a learning mentor at Cheshire College – South & West, participated in the event at Chatsworth House a year after the original event was postponed due to the pandemic.
A ‘Community Day’ takes place this Sunday July 3 between 1.30pm-4.30pm at Wistaston Memorial Hall on Church Lane.
The indoor event will feature a tombola, refreshments, charity stalls, cakes, plants, craft stall and lots more and is organised by Wistaston Community Council.

Wistaston Village Fete returns this Saturday June 18 at Wistaston Church Lane Academy on Church Lane.
Entry is by donation and there is a full programme starting at 1.30pm with the Rose Queen procession from Wistaston Memorial Hall to Wistaston Church Lane Academy.

Wells Green Methodist Church in Wistaston is launching “Café Wells Green” this Friday (April 8).
The café will be open every Friday morning (10am-12pm) and will serve tea, coffee and squash with donations rather than a price list.
Four young friends from Wistaston have completed their fundraising running challenge in aid of refugee families in war-torn Ukraine.

A new path through the 150-home Bellway ‘Kingfisher Reach’ housing estate in Wistaston may have to be ripped up after not complying to planning conditions.
The path should allow safe passage for pedestrians, cyclists and other users through the new estate from Middlewich Road to Golden Jubilee Bridge on Wistaston Green Road.
