More fines dished out by Cheshire East to dog owners over fouling

More than 100 fines have been handed out to irresponsible owners for failing to control or clean up after their dogs since Cheshire East Council chiefs beefed up their powers.

Cheshire East launched a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to tackle dog fouling and dog control issues on November 1, 2017, with the aim of encouraging responsible dog ownership.

Plans to build a joint police and fire station in Crewe have been axed after it was discovered the project would have cost taxpayers £18 million.

Members of the Cheshire Fire Authority unanimously voted at a meeting today (September 18) to move forward with plans to build a station solely for the fire service instead.

A popular car park in Nantwich is to re-open under a new operator, agents confirmed today.

The Bowers Row car park was closed off last week after Cheshire East Council refused to pay higher rental charges and declined to renew the lease.
