A determined group of Cheshire Fire Cadets including one from Nantwich are raising money to finish building classrooms in Nepal.
The team of 13 raised more than £50,000 before lockdown and are now continuing their quest to secure enough funds to finish the school project.
Nantwich Fire Cadets were put through their paces when they were visited by Nantwich Town Mayor David Marren and his family.
The Cadets are one of the local causes to benefit from the Mayor’s fundraising work when Cllr Marren came to office in 2018.

The charity fundraiser was held in aid of Hope house, North West Ambulance First Responders and Nantwich Fire Cadets.
New Cheshire Police & Crime Commissioner John Dwyer rewarded young cadets from Nantwich for their fund-raising efforts. Mr Dwyer, President of Royal British Legion Nantwich branch, presented awards to cadets who raised over £31,000 for the Poppy Appeal.
Nantwich firefighters will be cleaning up tomorrow when they take part in a charity car wash. The part-time fire crews are offering to wash cars at Nantwich fire station on Beam Street in return for a donation to charity.
