Two men who pleaded guilty to setting fire to a former print works in Crewe causing widespread disruption and displacing hundreds of residents, will be sentenced in April.

A third man has been found not guilty following a trial at Chester Crown Court.

Three men charged in connection with massive Crewe fire

Three men have been charged with arson with intent to endanger life following an investigation into the huge fire which ripped through a building on Catherine Street in Crewe.

James Evans, 19, from Welles Street in Sandbach; Justin Evans, 18, from Catherine Street in Crewe; and Peter Lord, 19, of no fixed address were remanded into custody to appear at Crewe Magistrates on 16 August.

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life following the huge fire which ripped through a building in Crewe.

The massive blaze has destroyed the former Printers building on Catherine Street, off Nantwich Road.
