Nantwich Town outgoing chairman Jon Gold says it was a tough decision to step down from the role.
Gold has been at the helm for the past seven years and has enjoyed highlights like seeing the club reach the First Round proper of the FA Cup in 2011.
Jon Gold is to step down as Chairman of Nantwich Town FC.
Jon, who has led The Dabbers for the past seven years, will be replaced by Tony Davison with effect from today May 1.
Tributes have poured in for Crewe Alexandra chairman John Bowler from players, staff and fans after he was awarded the MBE.
John, from Nantwich, on the board of directors at Crewe Alexandra since 1980, was named in the 2015 New Year Honours list.
