A Nantwich pub landlady revealed how they received “the dreaded call” to say their business was on fire. Lorraine and Martin Chapman were on a walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales when their Red Cow pub on Beam Street went up in smoke.
Nantwich drivers are being warned of massive delays on the M6 in Cheshire after a serious collision closed the northbound carriageway. The accident involved an HGV and car, sending the lorry careering off the motorway.
The busy A530 between Nantwich and Whitchurch was closed after a car careered off the road and smashed into a telegraph pole. The accident happened along Whitchurch Road in Broomhall, near Nantwich, between the Sound Lane junction and the Cock Lane junction.
