Crewe and Nantwich Constituency Labour Party has opened a campaign office in Crewe town centre.
They say it act as a hub for the party’s bid to win the Crewe & Nantwich constituency seat for its candidate Connor Naismith in the July 4 general election.
The former Crewe & Nantwich MP Laura Smith has quit the Labour Party, and launched a stinging attack on what she called its culture of “bullying, belittling, fear and lack of respect”.
Ms Smith made the announcement just days after being suspended by the local Cheshire East Labour group.

Prison governor Gary Poole is bidding to become Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Crewe & Nantwich. Mr Poole, born in Nantwich, also lived in Crewe’s West End when he worked at the CWS Tea & Coffee Centre on Weston Road.
Crewe & Nantwich Labour Party officers dropped by on fellow member Lucy Smart to help celebrate her 90th birthday. Lucy, from Crewe, was presented with flowers and vouchers for the Lyceum, where she worked as manager cook throughout the 1950s and 60s.
