Families are invited to climb aboard for a day of miniature railway rides, refreshments and fundraising when the Peacock Railway in Nantwich hosts a charity open day.
The miniature railway, behind The Peacock Inn on Crewe Road, will host the event on Sunday 31st May from 11am until 4pm.
Railway enthusiasts and families enjoyed a fantastic afternoon as the much-loved Peacock Railway in Willaston held its first Public Running Day.
Operated by the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society, the miniature railway behind The Peacock Inn on Crewe Road, marked the start of a new season with a day out for families.
Combermere Abbey near Nantwich will mark the arrival of autumn with a final “Garden Open Day” of the year on September 16.
The event opens the historic venue’s gardens to the public from 10am to 3pm. Tickets are available online.

Hundreds of people enjoyed a sunny Open Day at the popular Peacock Railway attraction in Willaston.
Guests were treated to miniature steam and battery-electric train rides for two laps around the impressive 5-inch gauge track which is nearly a quarter of a mile long.
The Peacock Railway in Willaston is throwing open its doors this Sunday (May 4) for a special VE celebration public open day.
The railway, behind The Peacock pub off Crewe Road, is home to the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society.

The event featured activities for all ages including Wrenbury & District Football Club training taster sessions, Cheshire Constabulary police car and finger print tests, and a Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service appliance.
A Summer Fete and Open Day will be held at Church House on Coole Lane in Austerson on Saturday July 27.
The family event, from 2pm to 4.30pm, will feature activities and entertainment while supporting a great cause.
Dog rescue centre Pawprints to Freedom is to stage an Open Day at its Nantwich base on Saturday July 20.
The event will take place at the charity’s Our Safe Haven kennels at Mickley Hall Lane on the outskirts of Nantwich.
