Hundreds of people enjoyed the Wistaston Community Council Fireworks Display, amid warnings future events could be in doubt due to a lack of volunteers.
The event last night (November 4) took place at the Eric Swan Sports Ground/Brittles Pavilion off Church Lane in Wistaston.

A local construction firm building a new three-storey office in Crewe Business Park, has sponsored a training event for Wistaston community volunteers.
Caddick Construction is supporting Wistaston Community Council (WCC) by funding training for volunteer traffic marshals and securing the future of the village processions.

The 38th annual Wistaston Flower and Produce Show took place at St Mary’s Church Hall on Church Lane in Wistaston.
St Mary’s Church Hall was filled with stunning floral arrangements and there were high standards throughout the flower and vegetables classes.

The current Wistaston Rose Queen and her attendant are to continue their roles into 2021 after the village fete was cancelled by COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual Wistaston Village Fete, organised by Wistaston Community Council, was due to take place on Saturday (June 20).
The Wistaston Community Council Fireworks Display takes place on Saturday November 2.
The event starts from 6.30pm at the Eric Swan Sports Ground/Brittles Pavilion off Church Lane, behind Wistaston Church Lane Academy.
The annual Wistaston ‘Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race’ takes place this Saturday September 7.
The event will take place at the Joey the Swan recreation ground, Wistaston.

More than 30 local walkers and six dogs enjoyed a gentle stroll in Wistaston on Boxing Day.
