Hardy members of Crewe & Nantwich RUFC completed a 42-mile trek in 24 hours across the bleak North Yorkshire Moors.
The 18 walkers, team support and medics set off from the Boot and Shoe pub in Nantwich to Ravenscar on the North East coast.
They then walked 42 miles across the Moors to their finish in Osmotherley, raising £4,500 for MacMillan Cancer and the club development fund.
Club spokesman Nick Price said: “It was tough going, in fact most of the walkers said it was the toughest challenge so far, including the coast to coast cycle and the 3 Peaks Challenge!”
The course took them across rough terrain including, hills, valleys, roads, tracks and bogs.
To complete the trek in less than 24 hours, they had to be kept going by helpers supplying food and drink, moral support and medical attention.
The team only got their heads down for three hours between midnight and 3am before the walkers set off for the next leg in the pitch black.
They ended their effort with a welcome barbecue and pint back at The Boot and Shoe, on Hospital Street.
The walk shirts were sponsored by Blue Arrow.
