A new Terraces Menswear store is set to open in Nantwich.
It will be the first time owners have opened a new outlet outside of the company’s main store in Hanley.
Terraces is opening up in the former Pockets shop on Pepper Street, creating four new jobs.
Company spokesman Antony Turner told Nantwichnews it is a move they have wanted to make since October.
“We’ve been looking around for the right location, and Nantwich is a very nice area with towns like Crewe and Sandbach nearby,” he said.
“This seemed too good an opportunity to miss when we saw the vacancy earlier this year.
“We’ve walked around the town quite a lot and spoken to people. We felt there was nothing like what we can offer in the town at the moment.”
Terraces Menswear audience targets men aged 18 to 40, said Mr Turner, offering something different to recent stores such as Fat Face.
“We start from a low price range up to a high, stocking current season fashion. But our website also offers last season’s stock and some great offers.”
The company is bucking the current economic trend and is already on the look out for more outlets to expand further.
“A lot of people are surprised at why are we opening up more stores when others are closing, but we are doing well and we have to give it a try,” Ant added.
The company started in 1999 and was taken over by Ant’s brother.
The original store on Marsh Street in Hanley has quadrupled in size in the last decade.
The Nantwich shop is set to open fully this Saturday June 29.
