Nantwich Museum is to host a talk called “Foodbank – a sign of the times” by Barbara Phillips on Wednesday October 30.

The talk, starting at 3pm, is the final one of the series accompanying the Nantwich Eats exhibition at the Pillory Street venue.

Thirteen million people in the UK live below the poverty line.

In Nantwich, there are cases of families unable to cope and turning to the Nantwich Foodbank which has been operated by the churches of the town since its launch in January 2013.

Visitors are invited to bring to the meeting contributions to Nantwich Foodbank.

Nantwich Eats exhibition has told the story of food shopping in Nantwich over the last 100 years.

    I am a student at Staffordshire university and I missed the food bank talk with Barbara. I was wondering if there was any contact details for her to see whether she would do an interview as I’m doing a documentary on the subject for one of my assignments.
