Students at a South Cheshire theatre school will be performing as the “Lost Boys” in Cheshire’s biggest pantomime this Christmas.

Peter Pan is set to attract thousands of families to Crewe Lyceum Theatre throughout December.

And 16 girls and boys from YSD School will comprise the “Peter Pan” and “Tinkerbell” casts of dancers in the show.

They will be rubbing shoulders with the lead actors including soap star Adam Woodyatt as Captain Hook, comedy duo The Grumbleweeds as Smee and Starkey, and rising Nantwich star George Knapper as Peter Pan.

Mia Tasker and Leah Bainbridge of YSD School“We are a very busy school, and are absolutely thrilled to be working with the Crewe Lyceum Theatre and Qdos,” said YSD Theatre School owner Gail Montague said.

“We have two troupes of very excited students who are thrilled to be performing in Peter Pan at the Lyceum.”

Three of the YSD Theatre School’s pupils will be performing in the children’s roles of Michael and John.

The school has a long history of performing and providing support to productions at the Lyceum, dating back to the YSD Theatre School’s founder Yvonne Nevitt.

The performance will be something of a reunion for Gail Montague and the school.

And the students will be working up close with one of Montague’s former pupils, George Knapper.

“We’re all looking forward to working with George again,” she said.

“He was one of my pupils for ten years, and it’s lovely to see him succeed and shine.

“I know that many of my past pupils will be in the audience to cheer him on as Peter!”

Peter Pan flies into the Crewe Lyceum from Saturday December to Sunday January 5.
