Police hunting a bank robber who struck in South Cheshire, have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace.
A lone man who entered Yorkshire Bank on Victoria Street, in Crewe, told staff he was armed and approached the cashier demanding money.
After receiving a quantity of cash, the man left and headed along Queensway to the arcade and in the direction of the bus station.
The incident happened at about 3.15pm on Thursday March 10.
The offender was smartly dressed, white, with a foreign accent, aged 30-40, 5ft 10in, light hair and fair complexion.
He was wearing a dark sports jacket, light trousers, shoes and a flat cap hat.
He was also wearing white framed glasses.
Officers were quickly on the scene and have been providing support to staff members at the bank.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who has any information and anyone who saw the suspect either before or after the crime being committed making his escape in the area of Crewe bus station.
A police spokesperson said: “This is an extremely serious offence which has left staff members shaken and it is crucial that members of the public assist.”
