Youngsters from 16 schools across Nantwich entertained packed crowds in the town at the annual Skoolzfest event.
Children sang their hearts out on a stage set up in the town square.
The event is a joint initiative between Nantwich Education Partnership which embraces the local schools, and St Mary’s Church.
It is designed to celebrate the achievements and abilities of all Nantwich’s children.
A range of musical performances took place on the covered stage from 10am.
And it included the ‘Big Sing’ when a large number of children from different primary schools formed a community choir.
There were other singing and orchestral performances as well as the traditional Battle of the Bands event, when secondary school students took part in an X Factor-style competition.
Deputy Mayor of Cheshire East Cllr Arthur Moran opened the event along with Mrs Hazel Brown, chair of the NEP.
The theme this year was Hope, Faith and Charity and the museum hosted artwork from many of the schools.
Organisers also paid tribute to Thea Gilmore, Nigel Stonier, Clare Swan and Victoria Palethorpe.
Organiser Shaun Cafferty said: “They contributed massively to the success of the event.
“Hundreds of children had a chance to take part in live performance on Saturday and the smiles on everyone’s faces was testament to the success of the day.
“There were many stalls and refreshments put on by St Mary’s Church as part of the Fete and there was a real buzz about the town.
“Spoz, a performance poet, led a very lively poetry slam in St Mary’s in the afternoon featuring lots of young talent from across the NEP.”
The event was also backed by Nantwich Chamber of Commerce and Nantwich Town Council.
Many shops and businesses sponsored the event.
