The Audlem RNLI Festival will take place at the Overwater Marina near Nantwich on September 3 and 4.
A Boatshare Event takes place on the Saturday where there will be refreshments, licensed bar, cream teas, ice cream and more.
This will be followed by a Saturday evening BBQ, and live entertainment.
The excitement for the Sunday is a Donkey Derby, starting at 11am.
There will be six races, with six donkeys per race.
Local young riders have been recruited.
Sponsors have chosen amusing names for both the races and each donkey. There will be a Tote in operation to add to the fun.
A Dog Show follows the Donkey Derby, and will be hosted by famous TV vet Steve Leonard.
This is followed by The Dog Agility Display Team from Whitchurch.
Throughout the afternoon, the RNLI will be staging presentations for children raising awareness of ‘Respect for Water’.
And there will be refreshments, licensed bar, and retail stalls and donkey rides for children.
During the weekend, The Cheshire Cat Day Boat will be offering trips around the marina.
The Overwater Wheelyboat will also be offering trips for those with mobility issues, and the Audlem Lass will be providing its boat service between Overwater Marina on Coole Lane and Audlem village.
Rodney Cottrell is the main driving force behind the event.
Mr Cottrell is chairman of the local RNLI branch covering South Cheshire.
This year, all profits will be donated to the Flint RNLI Station.
